MOSEL FARM AND HOME
The Mosel Farm and Home 4- H Club June 8 meeting was called to order by member Andy Wieland. The pledges were led by Bradley Mauk (U.S.) and by Aaron Wagner (4-H). Roll call was answered by “Using the first letter of your last name, describe your dad.”
The secretary and treasurer’s reports were also accepted.
Old business:
The first Adopt-a-Highway of this year was completed.
The club has completed Meals For Those In Need. All the members brought the ingredients to the project and we made meals for four families.
The June Dairy Month window display was completed and will be up at Alby’s Pizza in Howards Grove. The theme was “Dairy Facts.”
The June Dairy Month promotion would be cheese sampling at Bill’s Piggly Wiggly from 9-11 a.m. June 26.
Our club has combined with Lima Lites 4-H Club to make a softball team.
New business:
Fair entry blanks need to be returned to Mrs. Demmin soon.
A meeting for building the float for the Silver Dollar Parade would be held at 6 p.m. June 24 at the Mauks.
We will be going on a club trip to Mt. Olympus on July 31. The bus will be leaving at 6:30 a.m. and returning at 9 p.m.
We will be designing a new club T-shirt.
The Father’s Day project was completed June 8 before the meeting.
A
basket with a summer picnic
theme would be put together for the Angel Hug’s Fundraiser on June 26.
Enchanted Forest is set for Oct. 24.
Demonstrations were given by Tara Ziegelbauer, Morgan Bramstedt, Alex Mueller and Sarah Scheiber.
