ROCK ‘N’ ROLL & DOO WAP STARS COME TO SHEBOYGAN
The Stefanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts, Sheboygan, will resonate with the sounds of classic rock ‘n’ roll and doowap Saturday, July 18, as the ‘60s music stars The Crystals and the Doo Wap Daddies take the stage.
Produced by Joe LuDan and presented by Broadway Limousine and Coach, Butler, this show will be presented in the style of the shows seen on public television, but in a scaled-down version.

The Crystals, not one was yet out of high school. Their first recording, “There's No Other (Like My Baby)” was also their first hit, which catapulted them straight to the “Apollo” theatre.
They continued their successful recordings with five more Top Ten records: “Uptown,” “He's A Rebel,” “He's Sure The Boy I Love,” “Da Doo Ron Ron,” and “Then He Kissed Me.” Two of the Top 50 most popular records in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame belong to The Crystals.
The group has scaled from five members to three. The Crystals now consist of Dee Dee Kenniebrew, who was there from the very first recording, Patricia Pritchett- Lewis and Melissa Antoinette Grant.
The Doo Wap Daddies capture the demanding vocal style of doowap music with unsurpassed excellence. That’s only the beginning. The Daddies don’t merely re-create this classic genre, but have redefined it and made it their own – 21st century doo-wap. The Doo Wap Daddies’ live shows attain that ideal unity of masterful performance and entertainment. Combing elements of vintage and cutting-edge musical technologies, The Doo Wap Daddies produce an exciting theatrical show that remains faithful to the doowap style.
As an added feature to this performance, the Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Milwaukee, seven locations, will be giving away a $500 dance package at intermission. A group of teachers and their top students will take to the stage to jitterbug their way into the presentation. Sign-up for the dance package will take place in the theater lobby prior to The Crystals and Doo Wap Daddies taking the stage.
