Wiedemeyers celebrate 70th wedding anniversary

Milton and Dorothy Wiedemeyer of Pine Haven Christian Home, 531 Giddings Ave., Sheboygan Falls, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Wednesday, June 24, 2009.

They were married June 24, 1939, at St. Lukes Church in the town of Sheboygan Falls.

She was born Aug. 4, 1918. She was employed by Millersville Box Co., Howards Grove, for 25 years. Dorothy has a love for playing cards and cooking for her family.

He was born Dec. 23, 1913. He was a carpenter by trade most of his life. He was employed by his father, Gustave Wiedemeyer of Sheboygan. Milton’s pride and joy was maintaining his ranch home and building things.

The couple attended St. Pauls Lutheran Church while they resided in Howards Grove.

Their family includes two daughters: Mary Senkbeil and Joan Wehrmann, both of Sheboygan; seven grandchildren: Sandy Kluz and Todd Luecke, both of Sheboygan Falls; Tracy Luecke of Sheboygan; Tricia Luecke of Slinger; Dawn Pfiefer of Elkhart Lake; Ryan Wehrmann of Austin, Texas, and the late Tim Wehrmann; and nine greatgrandchildren.

The couple resided in Howards Grove most of their married life, but currently reside in the assisted living at Pine Haven in Sheboygan Falls.
