MYRNA H. DROSSEL
Myrna H. Drossel, 92, formerly of Sheboygan Falls, died at Golden Living Center in Sheboygan on Thursday evening, July 2, 2009, with her family at her side.
Myrna was born in Plymouth on Jan. 4, 1917, the daughter of the late Walter and Rose (Mueller) Meyer. She attended Plymouth High School where she graduated in 1935.
Myrna was married to the late Elmor Drossel on Nov. 14, 1936 in Sheboygan Falls. He preceded her in death Dec. 9, 1978.
She worked as a nurse’s aide at Pine Haven.
Myrna was a longtime member of Blessed Trinity Church Parish, where she was involved in the Christian Mothers.
She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, baking, and her dogs.
She is survived by one daughter, JoAnn Schultz of Plymouth; four sons, Eugene (Arnita) Drossel of Sheboygan Falls, Calvin (Christine) Drossel of Sheboygan, John (Wendy) Drossel of Oostburg and James Drossel of Sheboygan; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one sister, Carol Saeger of Sheboygan; a sister-in-law, Helen Murphy of Sheboygan Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse Elmor; one son-in-law, James Schultz; and one sister, Florence Hering.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with Father Bob Lotz officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls.
Friends may greet the family at Blessed Trinity Parish on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass.
