Flames defeat Mequon
MEQUON – Evan Walsh threw spun a five-hitter as the Plymouth Flames defeated Theinsville-Mequon, 8-4, in a Land O’ Lakes Baseball League game here Sunday afternoon.
Walsh struck out nine, walked eight and allowed three earned runs. The Flames upped their Northern Division mark to 3-7 (4- 12 overall).
The Flames collected nine hits and 10 walks. Plymouth drew five walks in the top of the sixth inning that resulted in two runs.
Second baseman Paul Gloede led the Flames’ attack with three hits. Ryan Wachter and Dusty Medved added two apiece. Medved also had a team-high four RBIs.
Jake Majeski paced the Twins with two hits. Matt Mayer led in RBIs with two.
