Elkhart school registration schedule

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah School District’s registration for the new school year will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 4-5. Students in grades JrK-8 will register at the elementary/middle school and students in grades 9-12 will register at the high school.

The registration schedule is as follows, and you may register on any of the days. Aug. 4: 8-11:45 a.m. and 1-4:45 p.m. Aug. 5: Noon-3:45 p.m. and 5-7:45 p.m. Student registration fees, collected at registration time, are as follows: ECH, Jr. Kindergarten, and ½ Day Kindergarten $10 Kindergarten (includes $10.50 fee for mat and $3 for computer head set) $33.50 Grade 1 $20 Grade 2 $20 Grade 3 (includes $9 physical education skating fee) $29 Grades 4-6 (includes $9 physical education skating fee) $39 Grade 7 (includes physical education $15 bowling and $9 in-line skating fee) $54 Grade 8 (includes $15 physical education bowling fee) $45

Grades 9-12 $30

Students at the high school must pay a $5 per semester fee on registration day for consumable materials used in art, technology, drafting, and select family and consumer education courses.

The fee for renting musical instruments owned by the district, subject to availability, is $50 per instrument per year.

Students will be charged $30 for participation in each school-sponsored athletic activity at the high school and $15 at the middle school level.

High school students parking a motorized vehicle on school campus must purchase a parking permit at the cost of $10.

School will begin for all students Tuesday, Sept. 1. The school-day times are as follows: High School – 7:55 a.m.-2:51 p.m. Grades 5-8 – 7:45 a.m.-2:46 p.m. Elementary School K-4 – 8:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m. A.M. Kindergarten – 8:45-11:45 a.m. (Monday-Friday) A.M. Jr. Kindergarten – 8:45-11:45 a.m. (Monday-Thursday)

P.M. Jr. Kindergarten – 12:45-3:45 p.m. (Monday-Thursday)

Johnson School Bus Service will contact each family by mail as to bus assignments, pick-up and drop-off times, and pick-up locations.

Parents who would like their children either picked up or dropped off at a point other than their residence along the established bus route must have the written consent of the school principal. In order to obtain consent, a request form must be filled out at the school office by the parents who want to request a change.

All residents new to the district with children ages 3-5 should notify the elementary school as soon as possible for screening purposes. Additionally, state law requires that pupils entering school in Wisconsin for the first time must be immunized against mumps, rubella, measles, polio, Hepatitis B, DPT, chicken pox and pertussis. Parents are asked to make sure that their children have the proper immunization.

High school students will receive their schedules at registration time and on the first day of school. Students who desire to make changes in their schedules can make changes, subject to availability of classes, at registration or during the first two days of school only.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to ensure that all students are provided a well-balanced, nutritional lunch daily. Hot lunch is available at a cost of $2.25 per day/$11.25 a week for grades K-3, $2.50 per day/ $12.50 a week for grades 4-6. A la carte is available for grades 4-12. Students may use cash or purchase value cards of $7 (grades 4-6) or $17 (grades 7-12). Milk may be purchased for 10 cents per half-pint.
