McFadzen reappointed to trails council

Michael McFadzen of Plymouth has been reappointed to a four-year term on the Governor's State Trails Council.

The State Trails Council was created in 1989. The nine-member council, appointed by the governor to four-year terms, must be knowledgeable in various recreational uses of trails.

The council provides advice and consultation to the Department of Natural Resources on the planning, acquisition, development, and management of trails in Wisconsin.

This will be McFadzen's fourth term on the council, including four years as chairman. McFadzen is active in bike/pedestrian advocacy including: vice-chairman of the Sheboygan County Pilot Program, Technical Committee Chairman, Friends of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, Wisconsin Stewardship Grant Committee and the Kettle Moraine Nordic Ski Club.
