MARY ANN KUBISH
Mary Ann Kubish, age 83, of Plymouth passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 1, 2009, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility, where she has been a resident the past four years.
She was born Feb. 1, 1926 in New Holstein, a daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Schneider) Krebsbach. She attended St. Claudius grade school in St. Cloud.
Mary Ann had worked at the Lawson Corp in New Holstein.
On May 3, 1950, she was married to Joseph Kubish. They made their home in St. Cloud until moving to Plymouth in 1973. They operated Kubish Building Center in Plymouth until 1997. Her husband preceded her in death in 2004.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth, and had been a member of the Christian Women Guild in the Church. She had also been an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary to post 243 in Plymouth. She will be remembered for her love of animals and special passion for her dogs.
Survivors include two sons, Paul (LuAnn) of Glenbeulah and Richard of Plymouth; two grandchildren, Joel (Bobbi) Kubish and Sara (Sasha) Stoeter; two great-grandchildren, Odin Kubish and Freya Stoeter; three brothers, Joseph Krebsbach of St. Cloud, Donald (Lucile) Krebsbach of De Pere and Thomas Krebsbach Jr. of Marietta Ga.; three sisters, Verna Abler Eggebeen, Vivian (Alfred) Miller and Eloise (William) Barbieur, all of Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by one son, Stephen, and one infant daughter, Margaret.
A mass of Christian burial will be held 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 6, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. The Very Rev Dennis Van Beek, pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Claudius Cemetery in St. Cloud.
Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established in Mary Ann’s name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Online condolences may be sent to www. wittkoppschneider.com.
