PHS grad scores winner in all-star game
FOND DU LAC – Jordi Heginbottom, a 2009 Plymouth High School graduate, scored the winning goal for the Blue team in a shootout against the Gold in the boys match at the 18th annual Wisconsin Masonic Soccer Foundation All-Star games here July 25.
The game was tied 3-3 after regulation, thus forcing a shoot-out on penalty kicks. Heginbottom’s goal gave the Blue a 4-3 win in the shoot-out.
His goal late in the first half put the Blue ahead 2-1 at halftime. Heginbottom scored after he intercepted a clearing pass near the Gold goal.
The players in the match were graduated seniors nominated by their coaches and selected by the Wisconsin Masonic Soccer Foundation for their academic achievement, leadership skills, community involvement and playing ability.
