KATHLEEN GOEDDE

Kathleen B. Goedde, age 54, of N 1286 Hwy I, Random Lake, Wis., passed away unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Ozaukee of an apparent heart attack.

She was born on Sept. 11, 1954, in Sheboygan, Wis., a daughter of Bernice Haack Goedde and the late Victor Goedde.

She attended St. John Lutheran Grade School in Sherman Center and graduated from Random Lake High School in 1972. She attended Gateway Tech in Kenosha, graduating with a degree in library science. She continued her education at Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland, receiving a degree in accounting.

Kathleen was employed at Badger Tag and Label in Random Lake for 34 years, serving as their accountant.

She was a faithful life-long member of St. John Lutheran Church in Sherman Center and sang in the adult choir, played in the handbell choir, was a member of the altar guild and was the congregation secretary for many years.

Her love of reading led her to serve on the Lakeview Community Library Board and Friends of Library. She was also on the Eastern Shores Library Board. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She always thought of others and she became an organ and tissue donor.

Survivors include her mother, Bernice Goedde of Beechwood Rest Home; two brothers, David (Debra) Goedde of Random Lake and Donald Goedde of Random Lake; three sisters, Karen (Don) Pfeifer of Adell, Elaine (Leonard, Jr.) Fick of Marengo, Ill., Marlene (Richard) Forshee of Jackson; 10 nieces and nephews, Dawn (Jim) Meerdink of Random Lake, April and Brenda Goedde both of Random Lake, Kyle and Kevin Pfeifer both of Adell, Kari (Brian) Marquardt of Waldo, Joe (Andrea) Fick of Sheboygan, Vicky (Matt) Rohe of Marengo, Amanda and Thomas Forshee of Jackson; two great nieces, Amy and Abby Rohe of Marengo; and one great-nephew, Brady Fick of Sheboygan.

She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

She was also preceded in death by one nephew, Christopher Goedde; one niece, Amy Fick; one great-nephew, Spencer Fick; and two great-nieces, Alexandra and Chloe Fick.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 9, at 4 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Sherman Center. The Rev. Greg Laska, pastor of the church, will officiate. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Sunday, Aug. 9, from 1 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name for St. John Lutheran Church.
