Victorian Village Theater Presents “A Midsummer Children’s Tale”
Victorian Village Resort announces the opening of a new children’s show, “A Midsummer Children’s Tale” with show dates of Sunday, Aug 9 and Monday, Aug 10 at 5 p.m. in its theater (during Elkhart Lake’s Downtown Night). Doors will open at 4 p.m. Seating is first-come first-served.
There will be cupcakes for sale at the show. All proceeds for this show will be donated to the Elkhart Lake PTK for a new playground, so additional contributions are welcome.
This production presents a variety of contemporary music, song, dance and funny retold fairy tales, written by Judith Salzwedel, who is also the director and arranged the show. Music and sound will be in the capable hands of Paul Sucherman. Ashley Pfeifer is stage manager, Jake Shovan is on spotlights with Molly Thiesenhuesen as lighting director. Jill Prigge is wardrobe mistress and props, and the show is choreographed by Mariah Bledsoe and Anna Mogenberg. The production will feature the local band, California Snow.
The talented cast includes Mariah Bledsoe, Anna Mogenberg, Baxter, Emma and Ellie Salzwedel, Sarah Gulbransen, Zebediah, Lauren, Meredith and Zeke Boos, Megan Pfeifer, Ava Stroesssner, Steven Duplechain, Sam Lutzke, Diranda Pfeifer, Bridget Woody, Andrew, Stacy, Bethany, Joe, Elsie and Pip Kay, Maddie Johnson, Emily McClave, Sydney Shovan, and Olivia Rentmeester. Also appearing as well-known fairytale characters are Char Koehler, Blake Henderson, Jill Prigge, Jeremy Potts, Joe Bielow, and Judith Salzwedel.
