ALICE M. SCHULTZ
Alice M. Schultz, age 82, of W5787 Co. Rd. N, Waldo, Wis., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Wednesday evening, Aug. 5, 2009, at the Plymouth Care Center, where she has been a patient the past four months.
She was born Sept. 12, 1926 in Waldo, a daughter of the late Alfred and Olive (Tracy) John. She graduated from Waldo High School and then attended the Sheboygan County Normal Teachers College.
On April 22, 1950, she married William Schultz Jr. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade. They made their home and farmed in the town of Lyndon all their married life. Alice taught elementary school for five years.
She is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a member of the Ladies Guild in the church.
Her focus in life was her family, but Alice also enjoyed music, playing the piano and dancing and working in her gardens. Alice also helped in caring for her grandchildren through the years and in later years was fond of seeing her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Bill; two sons, William III of Waldo and Ronald (Mary Jo) of Waldo; three daughters, Cathy (Steven) Helmer, Debra (Robert) Huibregtse and Peggy (Mark) Wiehr, all of Plymouth; 14 grandchildren, Erika (Gary) Bognar, Heather Schultz, Amanda (Grant) Roehrborn, Steven Chris (Tina) Helmer, Tracy (Drew) Kreisa, Holly Helmer, Amy, Abby, Ashley, Adam and Alex Huibregtse, Jesse Rose Schultz, Owen Schultz, Dustin Simonsen; five great-grandchildren, Brennan and Ryan Helmer, Dallas, Dakota and Austin Kreisa; one sister, Marjorie John of Plymouth; her brothers-in-law and sisters in-law, Marion Hefter of Cascade, Althea Laack of Plymouth, Grace (Darwin) Laack of Waldo and David Schultz of Waldo, as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother; an infant son, Richard; and an infant grandson, Jedediah.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 10, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade. The Rev Richard Bidinger, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial took place in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Cascade.
