Consortium of Wisconsin artists open new exhibit
Gallery 110 North has announced the opening of a new exhibit. Virtual Art Gallery of Sheboygan.com –
A Consortium of more than 15 Wisconsin Artists
will open Friday, Aug. 14, and run through Oct. 4.
The public is invited to meet the artists at the opening reception in Gallery 110 North of The Plymouth Arts Center from 5-8 p.m. Aug. 14.
VAGOS is a community of artists located on the eastern shore of Wisconsin. They are painters and potters, weavers and box makers, sculptors, photographers and more.
The “virtual art gallery” of the group is readily available to view online at any time. The “actual” original fine artwork can be experienced in this new Gallery 110 North exhibit.
The mission of VirtualArtGalleryofSheboygan.com is to provide original and diverse works of art to the local and international public in a convenient format and to support the creative expression of the individual while gathering together a community of artists.
This exhibit is underwritten by Mike and Pat McKenzie, McKenzie Financial Services and Jim and Mary Shields, Plymouth Furniture.
The opening reception will be held the same evening as the sixth annual Cheese Capital Jazz Crawl for the Arts fundraiser. Live jazz music featuring 10 bands will be presented at the Arts Center and at clubs and restaurants throughout historic downtown Plymouth. Entertainment by the Smooth Groove Trio begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Arts Center Courtyard and continues with the Talk of the Town Orchestra from 8-11 p.m.
The PAC's Bourbon Street Cafe will feature a special Jazz Crawl menu and a cash bar. From 5-9 p.m. in the Arts Center's grand hall, guests will enjoy the Jill Jensen Trio, a silent auction, painting raffle, live auction, and more.
