Alzheimer’s versus normal aging process to be presented at Mead Library

The Alzheimer’s Association will host a community program called “Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia” from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009 at Mead Public Library, Rocca Meeting Room, 710 N. 8th Street in Sheboygan.

The program will provide a general introduction to Alzheimer’s in comparison to the normal aging process. Participants will develop an understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, while learning how to identify the warning signs and potential risk factors. The program will provide information on how to obtain a thorough diagnosis and what treatments are available.
