Play’s walk-on role available at fund-raising auction

The Sheboygan Theatre Company announces that it is now selling and/or auctioning off a walk-on role at each performance of All Shook Up, the first production of the 2009-10 Season. The part of the Warden at the very beginning of the show has a single entrance and one line of dialogue. There would be no rehearsal required and a male or female could play the role.

For a donation of $300, a church, organization, business, club or association could purchase one of these spots. Or, with bidding beginning at $100, they could win one with the highest bid. In this way, a group of people can pool their money and secure a part on stage for their boss, executive director, chairperson, president, pastor, etc. At the same time, they would be making a very worthwhile donation to the Sheboygan Theatre Company as we continue our mission to provide, not only quality entertainment to the area, but, more importantly, opportunities for local residents to be involved in the theatrical arts.

Purchases will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and bidding will close on Friday, Sept. 18, 2009. Bids will be taken on each performance separately and the highest bid for each will be accepted.

To get in on this rare opportunity, contact Ralph Maffongelli at 459-3779, stating which performance (7:30 p.m. on Sept. 25 or 26; 2 p.m. on Sept. 27; or 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 30, Oct. 1, Oct. 2, or Oct. 3) and whether you want to purchase or bid (at what amount).
