Sheriff’s Report – Aug. 12

Four people were injured Aug. 1 in a two-car collision on Sheboygan’s north side.

According to the accident report, Heather M. Herziger, 18, of Belgium was eastbound on Oakdale Court and after stopping at a stop sign, she continued onto North 40th Street into the path of a van, driven by 39- year-old Amy M. Bogenschuetz of Sheboygan. Bogenschuetz had her three young children with her and Herziger had two passengers – 62-year-old Effie Reynolds of Sheboygan and 10-month-old Alexis Herziger-Smith. Four of the occupants were injured, but none transported.

The reporting officer noted that the tall grass at the intersection partially obstructs the view of southbound traffic on North 40th Street.

Herziger was ticketed for failing to yield to right of way at an intersection.
