Heating assistance registration sessions set

The Sheboygan County Division of Economic Support of the Department of Health and Human Services is sponsoring application sessions for the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program.

The sessions will be held Monday, Aug. 31, from 1-3 p.m. a the Sheboygan Falls Memorial Library; Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 1-3 p.m. at Mead Public Library in Sheboygan; and Monday, Oct. 5, from 1-3 p.m. at the Oostburg Public Library.

According to the division, income limits for the heating and electric costs assistance program have been increased for this winter. The three-month income limit is now $5,859 for a family or group of one; $7,661 for two; $9464 for three; and $11,267 for four.

Applicants for WHEAP must provide verification of Social Security number, date of birth, actual income for the past three months and a gas/heat source and an electric bill at the time of application.
