Medicare information at area libraries

The Sheboygan County Aging and Disability Resource Center is providing resource material and information sessions on Medicare cost savings at libraries throughout the county in the coming months.

The schedule includes a display of resource material at each of the libraries for about a week, along with a two-hour information session with a benefit specialist one day at each library.

The resource display will be at the Sheboygan Falls Memorial Library, 330 Buffalo St., Sheboygan Falls, through Monday, Aug. 31, with an information session Monday, Aug. 31, from 1-3 p.m. with benefit specialist Monica Froh.

After that the program will be at:

Mead Public Library, 710 N. 8th St., Sheboygan, Wednesday, Sept. 2 to Tuesday, Sept. 8 (library closed Monday, Sept. 7), with an information session with Froh Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1-3 p.m.

Lakeview Community Library, 112 Butler St., Random Lake, Wednesday, Sept. 9 to Monday, Sept. 14, with an information session Monday, Sept. 14, 1-3 p.m. with benefit specialist Pat Hafermann.

Cedar Grove Public Library, 131 Van Altena Ave., Cedar Grove, Wednesday, Sept. 16 to Monday, Sept. 21, with an information session with Hafermann Monday, Sept. 21, 1-3 p.m.

Elkhart Lake Public Library, 40 Pine St., Elkhart Lake, Wednesday, Sept. 23 to Monday Sept. 28, with an information session with Hafermann Monday, Sept. 28, 1-3 p.m.

Oostburg Public Library, 213 N. 8th St., Oostburg, Wednesday, Sept. 30, to Monday, October 5, with an information session with Hafermann Monday, Oct. 5, 1-3 p.m.

Plymouth Public Library, 130 Division St., Plymouth, Wednesday, Oct. 7, to Monday, Oct. 12, with an information session with Hafermann Monday, Oct. 12, 1-3 p.m.

The display and information sessions are intended for people over 60 and people over 18 with disabilities who are on Medicare.

Information will be available on low-income subsidies, lowest possible co-pay, MAPP, free or low-cost Medicare Part D, no Medicare B premium and how to avoid the ‘donut hole.’
