Mersberger inducted into UW-Platteville honor societies
Reese Mersberger of Sheboygan Falls was recently inducted into the University of Wisconsin-Platteville chapters of Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma national honors societies.
The prestigious societies recognize excellence in academic achievement, during the first year of college.
To be eligible for membership in Alpha Lambda Delta, students need to maintain a 3.5 or higher grade point average (GPA), and be in the top 20 percent of their class, during their first year.
Phi Eta Sigma is the nation’s largest and oldest honor society for college freshmen.
To be eligible for membership in Phi Eta Sigma, students must have a GPA of at least 3.5 at the end of their first or second semester of their freshman year. Once inducted, students receive a lifetime membership.
Mersberger is a 2008 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. He is sophomore at UW-Platteville, majoring in building construction management.
He is the son of Mike and Patricia Mersberger of Sheboygan Falls.
