JEROME J. SCHNEIDER
Jerome J. Schneider, age 67, of 79 Dewey St. Apt. A, in Kiel passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Sept. 1, 2009, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan of an apparent heart attack.
He was born Feb. 12, 1942 in Sheboygan, a son of the late Elmer J. and Edna (Bunge) Schneider.
On Dec. 17, 1966, he married Sally Meyer at Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth. The couple made their home in Elkhart Lake and Plymouth before moving to Kiel in 2008.
Jerry had worked in the construction field until being employed by United Feeds for 30 years, retiring in 2000.
Jerry spent most of his spare time with his family, that he dearly loved, camping and fishing and he also enjoyed following NASCAR racing and was passionate about trying to beat his relatives playing cards.
Survivors include his wife Sally; his beloved basset hound, Buddy; three daughters, Billie Jo (Bob) Frick of Kenosha, Dawn (Gregory) Schaefer of Wilmot, Wis., and Charlotte (Paul) Siech of Plymouth and one son, Michael (Jen) Schneider of Waldo; nine grandchildren, Rich (Carrie) Frick, Paul Frick, Brandon and Alicia Ostermann, Samuel Schaefer and Cassandra, Caitlynne, Christian and Pamela Siech; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Carlee Frick; two sisters, Cindy Ford of Sheboygan and Sharon (LeRoy) Schmahl of Sheboygan Falls; his mother-in-law, Irene Sass of rural Plymouth; one sister-in-law, Millie Erickson of Greenbush and one brother-in-law, Roy (Julie) Meyer of Plymouth; also numerous loving nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Lester Erickson.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Wittkopp-Schneider Funeral Home in Plymouth with the Rev. Kurt Ziemann, pastor of St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Batavia, officiating. Cremation will follow the service with inurnment in Union Cemetery at Louis Corners.
