Felines fare well at Sheboygan County Fair
The 2009 4-H Cat Judging was recently held at the Sheboygan County Fair Park. The cats are judged pre-fair because of their finicky personalities and distaste for being outside of their familiar environments.
The judge for this year was Jonica Schloseky. The judge in training was Sarah Samse. Both judges were impressed with the quality of the condition of the cats.
“Not even the black cats showed dandruff, which is really hard to hide on black cats,” Schloseky noted.
The judge was also impressed with the level of knowledge exhibited by the youth who entered showmanship as well as how well they were able to handle the cats. Mrs. Schloseky felt the kids must have been paying attention at the project meetings this year and following the lessons taught.
The cats are judged on grooming, overall appearance and personality.
