Jason R. Halverson,
29, 1559 N. 15th St., Sheboygan. $208, two years’ probation, and 30 days’ local jail for retail theft and intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child – repeat offender. On May 5, 2009, the Sheboygan Police were called to Rogan’s Shoes, located at 649 S. Taylor Drive. The store manager informed them that Halverson was in the store with a boy who seemed to be about 5 years old and was trying on a pair of Nike shoes. When they exited the store, the alarm was activated. Employees attempted to stop the two, but they kept walking and went into a vehicle. Employees approached the vehicle and saw two pairs of shoes inside, but Halverson drove off after a brief conversation. Police later found Halverson and the boy at his residence; he then admitted to stealing the two pairs of shoes.
