Tigers earn CLC sweep

CEDAR GROVE – A determined Howards Grove girls volleyball team evened its Central Lakeshore Conference record at 1-1 with a 25-21, 25-17, 28-26 win over host Cedar Grove-Belgium Thursday night.

“Our girls went out with a lot of energy,” said Tiger head coach Brett Damrow. “Cedar Grove has a lot of seniors and we had to stay focused to match their intensity.”

Ali Benning led Howards in spike kills with 13. Brianna Morgen contributed 12 spike kills and 12 digs. Kasey Latham was first in assists with 35.

Emily Schuh paced the Tigers in ace serves with six and digs, 15. “I was very pleased with our effort and energy,” Damrow said.
