Events to benefit pets and the Humane Society

Tails and Trails Pet Walk

On Saturday, Sept. 26, Sheboygan County Humane Society invites people to participate (with or without their pets) in the Tails and Trails Pet Walk 2009 at Camp Y-Koda in Sheboygan Falls. All proceeds benefit the humane society’s spay/neuter program.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. The welcome and blessing of the pets is at 9:30 am. There will be one- and three-mile walks. There will be dog games, contests, a dog agility course and assorted booths.

There will be a veggie chili and cookie contest. The presentation of trophies for pledges, contests and raffle drawings will be at noon. It will be fun for the whole family. For more info call 458-2012 or visit www.myschs.com.

Fashion show will support

animal shelters

On Sunday, Sept. 27, from 2-5 p.m., Maurice’s at the Deer Trace Shopping Center will be having an exclusive fashion show in partnership with the Sheboygan County Humane Society as part of the Rescues and Runways program – a nationwide effort to support local animal shelters and the animals they help. Two pet-adoption opportunities

On Saturday, Sept. 26, Two Left Paws Animal Sanctuary is having a pet mobile adoption from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Memorial Mall located at 3747 Kohler Memorial Drive. Animals will be available for adoption. For more info call 331-0100 or e-mail info@twoleftpaws.org.
