Minutes of 4-H Willing Worker meetings of August and September
WILLING WORKERS
August meeting
The Willing Workers 4-H Club came to order at 6:30 p.m., Aug. 3, at the Wimmler Family farm.
After the business meeting, there was a meal and a scavenger hunt.
The pledges were led by the Wimmler family. Members who participated in the drama festival went to the State Fair to perform “How Does Your Garden Grow?” and received a merit award. The club talked about having a fair booth with the theme “Monkeying Around in 4-H.” They also discussed work time periods for the fair food stand, getting record books done, doing a window display, highway clean up, the upcoming club banquet, and fall club elections.
September meeting
The Willing Workers 4-H club came to order at 6:30 p.m., Sept. 14, at the Plymouth Town Hall.
The pledges were led by Harris, Naomi, and Meredith Wells. Elections were held for the 2009 club officers – president: Naomi Wells; vice president: Luke Ohman; secretary: Kim Beck; treasurer: Joseph Wimmler; reporter: Emily Teske; community builder: Emma Mckinch. Good luck to them all!
For roll call, members answered with what they would miss most about summer. The meeting included discussions on clover awards, window display, and pizza pie sales. The next meeting will be held at the Plymouth Alliance church where we will have our banquet and awards program.
