ARVIN L. HALLE

Arvin L. Halle, age 66, of W6324 Hwy 67, Plymouth, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, Sept. 14, 2009 at his home, following a lengthy illness.

He was born June 24, 1943, in the town of Lyndon, son of the late Charles “Red” and Adelaide (Muench) Halle. He attended St. John Lutheran School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1961.

He married Jean Becker in 1964 and later married Margaret Berth on Dec. 1, 1990 at Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth.

After completion of high school, Arvin began working for Borden’s and continued doing so until his health prevented him from working.

He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling, playing softball, and playing horseshoes.

When Arvin’s health prevented him from physical activity he enjoyed watching sports on television, listening to Gospel music, bird watching, and following his grandchildren with all of their sports and activities.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of Plymouth; three sons, Steve (Chris) Halle of Sheboygan, Joey (Kay) Halle of Plymouth, and David (Tammy) Halle of Sheboygan; two step-children, Christine Berth of La Crosse and Daniel Berth of Red Granite; a sister, Linda (Jim) Lehrke of Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Aarika and Ursula Halle, Michael, Ryan, and Lauren Halle; five stepgrandchildren, Jeremiah Bergemann, Kirsten Bergemann (special friend, Tony Beaumont), Ross Pavelski, Aisha Pavelski, and Aric Sampson.

He is further survived by many cousins, relatives, and friends.

His two brothers, Harley Muench and Stuart Halle; a sister-in-law, Nancy Muench; and a niece, Kristin Kudirko, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20, at Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth with the Rev. James Hoppert officiating. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
