Girls runners take sixth at Valders

The Sheboygan Falls Falcons girls cross country team placed sixth and the boys finished eighth at the Valders Invitational Thursday, Sept. 17.

Sophomore Stephanie Kleckner (25th) and junior Nicole Bartel (28th) turned in strong performances to lead the Falcon girls squad.

Juniors Lucas LaCrosse (26th) and Devin Christenson (40th) paced the Falls boys team.

“Kleckner and Bartel are leading strong, with the other girls working together throughout the race,” said Falcons coach Tiffany Otte. “The boys have consistent leaders in LaCrosse and Christenson.

“The pack of Lucas Lambrecht, Matt St. Andre and Cory Blizzard demonstrate great teamwork,” she said.
