VALDERS – The Triad girls swim team swam past Valders 89-80 to notch its first dual-meet victory of the 2009 season Thursday, Sept. 17.

The combined Triad squad placed first in eight events and was dominant in the relays.

“It was a very successful meet for our swimmers,” said Triad coach Lynne Lammers. “A warm pool also helped. We won against good competition.”

The Triad squad is made of swimmers from Sheboygan Falls, Kohler, Sheboygan Lutheran and Sheboygan Christian.

Falls swimmers fared well as Hannah Abel placed third in the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay, while finishing second in the 100 breaststroke.

Falls’ Stephanie Ogea was sixth in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, while Kelsey Wright took third in the 200 freestyle relay.

The Triad junior varsity team posted a 47-0 victory.
