4-H Lima Lites, minutes of September meeting-
Our President Callie called the Lima Lites September meeting to order. Pledges were led by Zach Hand, Michelle Reilly, and Jake Sukowaty. Roll call was “Your favorite thing at the fair.” Emily Schaefer then gave the secretary’s report and Ashley Meyer gave the treasurer’s report. Tiffany Humphrey, our sunshine person, said that she wrote a letter to Mike Proefrock because of his motorcycle accident. The Beth Jens family, Berke family, and Hansen family were the families for family focus this month. Then Mrs. Schaefer asked everyone how they did at the fair.
Old business:
Aaron Schleicher and Mason Miller talked about the Falls Fest Parade. Mrs. Berke talked about the 4-H food stand. Mrs. Schaefer said thanks to the people who helped out with the club booth.
New business:
Mrs. Sukowaty talked about the pizza sales and Rachel Bohnhoff talked about the 4-H open house at the fair grounds on Sept. 22. Mrs. Schaefer talked about project award applications, clover award applications due Oct. 29, Juvenile Diabetes Walk on Sept. 26, crier distribution, all-parent leader meeting, national 4-H week window display, ambassador kick-off, clover bud mini camp. Enchanted forest, arts camp, record books, and parent meetings.
We then did the club election. Our new club president is Callie Claerbaut, new vice president is Ashley Meyer, new treasurer is Abigail Mauer, reporter is Tiffany Humphrey, secretary is Rachel Bohnhoff, and sunshine person is Hannah Schleicher.
The meeting was then adjourned.
Heather Reilly gave her talk and demo on a teddy bear that she drew; Jake Sukowaty gave a talk and demo on a barn model he made; David Foerster gave a talk and demo on how to polish a cow halter; Wesley Hansen gave a talk and demo on his calves that he took to the fair; and Shaun Jens talked about the calf he took to the fair and his experiences as a first-year member.
We then had a delicious snack of Popsicles and Fudgsicles provided by the Jerry and Marty Jens family.
