JOAN G. STEPHAN

Joan G. Stephan, age 84, of 236 N. Milwaukee St., Plymouth, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at her home.

She was born Jan. 12, 1925, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Fuerst) Heilberger. She attended Holy Name Grade School and graduated from Sheboygan North High School.

On Oct. 30, 1934, she married Maynard Stephan in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death Feb. 10, 1990. Joan was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.

In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, reading and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her seven children, Keith (Patricia) Stephan of Plymouth, Carol Stephan of Plymouth, Timothy (Kim Schuster) Stephan of Plymouth, Lee (Dale) Stephan of Plymouth, Michael (Jean) Stephan of Plymouth, Barbara Southworth of Plymouth and Scott Stephan of Plymouth; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Her birth father, John Heilberger; her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Lueke; her husband; and a half brother, Richard Lueke, preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday afternoon, Sept. 28, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth with the Very Rev. Dennis Van Beek officiating. Burial followed in the parish cemetery.
