Falls YMCA offers youth sports leagues

The Sheboygan Falls YMCA will host several youth sports leagues this fall and winter.

A volleyball league for seventh and eighth-grade girls will run from Tuesday, Nov. 3 to Tuesday, Dec. 8. Games will be played at the Falls YMCA each Tuesday, from 6-9 p.m. The registration deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 27.

A boys fifth and sixth-grade basketball league is scheduled on Thursdays, from Nov. 5 to Dec. 17.

This league is designed for select or traveling boys basketball teams to get ready for the upcoming season.

Registration is limited to eight teams per grade. Teams are guaranteed six games and all games will be officiated.

Games will be played at the Falls YMCA, between 5-9 p.m. The registration deadline is Thursday, Oct. 29.

A boys seventh and eighth grade basketball league is set each Monday from Nov. 2 to Dec. 7.

The league includes competition from surrounding communities, full-court games and a round-robin format. Each team must have a coach and registration is limited to eight teams per grade.

Teams are guaranteed six games and all games will be officiated. Games will be played between 5-9 p.m. at the Falls YMCA. The registration deadline is Monday, Oct. 26.

A boys high school indoor soccer league is slated on Sundays, from Nov. 15 to Dec. 20.

This league is designed for ninth through 12th-grade soccer players interested in improving their teamwork and overall soccer skills.

Teams will play two 20-minute halves and WIAA rules will apply. Teams are guaranteed six games and all games will be officiated.

Games will be played between 1-4 p.m. at the Falls YMCA. The registration deadline is Sunday, Nov. 8. For more information on youth leagues, contact Fred Huether at 920-467-2464.
