Panthers cruise to win in EWC opener

TWO RIVERS – Plymouth continued its strong girls swimming and diving season with a dominant performance at Thursday night’s triangular meet.

The meet was the Panthers’ Eastern Wisconsin Conference season opener. PHS, which improved to 6-1 overall in dual action, piled up 173 points. Valders was second with 85, followed by host Two Rivers at 66.

PHS won all 12 events, led by senior Sage Calhoun who won the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races. The Panthers cruised to victory in the junior varsity meet – scoring 162 points, followed by Two Rivers with 47 and Valders, 17.
