Walk-A-Thon thank you

To the Editor:

On behalf of the students, staff, PTO and parents of Fairview Elementary School, I would like to extend a special thank you to the following area businesses for their generous support of our Walk-A-Thon: Advanced Eyecare, Antoinette’s, Chester’s Drive In, CPN Hair Studio, James Magestro DDS, Joseph & Joseph Dental, Kleiber Construction, Masters Gallery Foods, Meyer Motors, Midwest Dental, Photos by Leslie Faye, McDonald’s, Sargento Foods Inc., Sartori Food Corp., Schwartz Photography, Subway, Suchon Funeral Home, Tangles Hair Salon, The Hair Affair and Wal-Mart.

This year’s Walk-A-Thon was a huge success! Our school proudly raised over $6,900. The profits from the Walk-A-Thon will be used to purchase new projectors, new Smart Boards for every classroom and will help offset the cost of field trips.

Without the support of businesses like these, much of this new technology would not be available to our children and their teachers; furthermore, they would not be able to attend field trips that enrich their educational experiences. Please continue to support our local businesses, as they continue to support our local schools.
