A night of ABBA & Bee Gees performed by ABBAmania & STAYIN’ ALIVE in Sheboygan
ABBAmania
and STAYIN’ ALIVE will both share the stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Stefanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts in Sheboygan for a special night of ABBA & The Bee Gees.
ABBAmania
has become known throughout the U.S. as the premier tribute to ABBA, which has not performed since 1982. It’s the look, the sound, and the songs of ABBA that make the performance by ABBAmania
an unmatched night of just plain fun.
ABBA remains a fixture of radio playlists and is one of the world's best selling bands, having sold near 370 million records worldwide making them the second best-selling band in history and the second bestselling pop artists in history. They still sell 2 to 4 million records a year.
With such hit songs as “Waterloo,” “SOS,” “Dancing Queen,” “Money Money Money,” “Take A Chance on Me,” and “Mamma Mia,” it will be a night of music that an audience knows.
Add the music of the three brothers who sold in excess of 205 million records and singles worldwide and conquered the world with a unique style, STAYIN’ ALIVE brings the Bee Gees together on the Weill Center stage. With close harmonies and a dynamic vibrato, the Bee Gees dominated radio and the live stage around the world.
STAYIN’ ALIVE present such hit songs as “Holiday,” “Words,” “To Love Somebody,” “I Started A Joke,” “Lonely Days,” “You Should Be Dancing,” “Tragedy,” and of course “Jive Talkin,” “Night Fever,” “You Should Be Dancing,” “Stayin Alive” and many more hits in their stage performance.
“With the success of `Mamma Mia’ and `Saturday Night Fever,’ the performances of ABBAmania
and STAYIN’ ALIVE will be a musical night of great dance music and movie soundtrack songs,” stated Weill Center general manager Randy Schwoerer. “This will be a show for the young that know the movies and their parents and grandparents who danced to these songs when they were hits on the charts.”
