PHS beats Falcons, clinch EWC title share

PLYMOUTH – The Plymouth Panthers clinched at least a share of the Eastern Wisconsin Conference boy soccer title with a 4-1 win over the Sheboygan Falls Falcons Monday night at Finke Field.

PHS upped its EWC record to 12-0-1 (19-1-3 overall). The Falcons, who are in third place in the league, dropped to 8-4 in the EWC (14-4 overall).

The Panthers put the game away by building a 4-0 halftime lead on goals by Robby Paese, Max Gatyas, Mitch Miller and Logan Ryan.

Nathan Brown kicked the Falcons’ goal 12 minutes into the second half. PHS led in shots on goal, 9-7. Falls had several strong attacks in the match but Panther goalkeeper Jon Hintz made some nice saves on well-struck shots.
