LTC will host career discovery sessions, Oct. 19 and 21

Lakeshore Technical College invites adults who want to take the next step in their education or career to attend Career Discovery sessions Oct. 19 and 21.

The sessions are held on the college’s Cleveland campus in the fireside area of the Lakeshore building. Interested individuals may attend anytime from 3-7 p.m.

At the free career exploration sessions, participants will learn how they can fit college into their busy lives. College counselors will be available with valuable career advice and information about classes. Division deans will provide unique insight into their specific programs, and admissions staff will guide participants through the application process.

At Career Discovery, participants can talk with financial aid staff to learn about options to help pay for college. They can take the WisCareers interactive, self-assess- ment inventory, which provides insight into career goal options.
Career Discovery benefits individuals who are:
• Ready to get back to college after taking time off;
• Interested in transferring to a different college;
• Interested in a more satisfying career;
• Working but needing to update their skills to advance;
• Graduating from high school and not sure what to do next.
