RICHARD D. “DICK” FULLER

Richard D. “Dick” Fuller, age 65, of N3913 N. Valley Road, Plymouth, Wis., passed away of an apparent heart attack early Sunday morning, Oct. 11, 2009, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan where he had been a patient for a few hours.

Dick was born Dec. 15, 1943 in Minneapolis, Minn., a son of the late Royce and Gwendolyn Howard Fuller. He attended schools in Milwaukee and Silver Creek and graduated from Waldo High School in 1962.

On Aug. 11, 1962, he married Marguerite Nylund at the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac, Wis. The couple have resided at Lake Ellen, Adell, and Cascade, and since 1969 in the town of Mitchell. This past year, the couple built a new handicap-friendly home for Dick. He worked at Gilson Brothers (which became Lawn Boy and then Toro) for 33 years before suffering a massive stroke in 1997. He was in Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility in Plymouth for seven months and then resided at home with his loving wife and main caregiver since July of 1998.

Dick was interested in hunting, fishing, and for many years he and his wife owned a Wisconsin River lot near Rhinelander, which they enjoyed vacationing at and still continued to visit.

Dick loved motorcycles and loved to ride and owned several bikes and still has his 1976 BMW. He enjoyed high-powered cars and owned a Plymouth Hemi Convertible and 280Z Datsun.

Dick was a mechanically gifted individual and could fix anything.

The couple were married for 47 years, having no children, but raised several dogs and their present companion, a boxer named Pepper.

Survivors include his loving wife, Marguerite of the town of Mitchell; two sisters, Nancy (Michael) Sweet of Naperville, Ill. and Peggy Cavataio of Hales Corners; two brothers, Kenneth (Dorothy) Fuller of Saukville and Paul (Betty) Fuller of Sheboygan Falls; two sisters-in-law, Carol Fuller of Cascade and Ginny (Jerry) Stefanez of Rhinelander; longtime good friends, Randy Dippel, Dan and Bill Puetz, Dick Siech and Gail Radder; and also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Fuller, and his mother- and father-in-law, Walter and Sophie Nylund.

Services of remembrance and stories will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Cremation has taken place.
