4-H-Madison All Stars – September 2009

The Sept. 10 meeting of the Madison All Stars 4-H Club was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. It began with Peter Bimmel calling the meeting to order. The American pledge was led by Mike Berres, and the 4-H pledge was led by David Bimmel. The roll call question was: “What are you looking forward to in the next 4-H year?”

The secretary’s report was printed in the newsletter. The treasurer’s report was given by David Bimmel. Tyler Fischer said there was no reporters’ report this month.

Reports of the following were given: Sunshine Committee report – Heather Pfeifer (no report); the Youth Association report – Shawn Burkhardt; the Leader’s Association report – Randy Meyer. Three items of correspondence were read by Peter Bimmel.

Old business was next on the agenda: Club trip results were shared with the club by Peter Bimmel; fair food stand helpers were thanked for their help by Mrs. Bartels; Anything Goes was a success according to Shawn Burkhardt.

Next on the agenda was ongoing business: The fair booth – window display took a second place at the Sheboygan County Fair; club fair was explained by Sarah Deheck; awards banquet details were told by Mrs. Barthels; 4-H Open House in September will be the 29th as told by Tyler Fischer.

Speeches and demonstrations were held as follows: Mike Berres brought in his collection of RC cars to show to our club.

New business included the following: The 2009 Wreath Sale was explained by David Bimmel; Mrs. Barthels also explained the 2009 Pizza Sale; Tyler Fischer informed us about the upcoming popcorn party as we prepare for the Enchanted Forest in October; Road America baby-sitting details were shared by Colton Sukowaty; our club took part in new Officer Elections for the 2009-10 Madison All Stars 4-H year.
