PDT Racing awards presented

PLYMOUTH – Plymouth Dirt Track Racing concluded its season with the awards ceremony Thursday evening at Sheboygan County Fair Park track.

Race director George Baumann reported that the season was very successful with more than 200 racers competing in the four divisions. In all, 289 races were run during weekly race programs.

Award recipients for each division included:

Sprint Division – Troy Wondra of Lomira, Champion; Jay Riemer, Sheboygan Falls, Rookie of the Year; and Jeremy Schultz, Beaver Dam, Most Improved Driver.

Late Model Division – Craig Schueffner of Sheboygan Falls, Champion; Jeff Fechter, West Bend, Rookie of the Year; and Jim Schmidt, Cleveland, Most Improved.

Grand Nationals – Tim Thompson of Campbellsport, Champion; Kevin Lubach, Elkhart Lake, Rookie of the Year; and Mark Fieber, Most Improved.

Outlaw Compacts – Tim Simon, Fond du Lac, Champion; Eric Casper, Kiel, Rookie of the Year; and Justin Green, Sheboygan Falls, Most Improved.

The Dedication to Dirt Award, given annually for outstanding contributions to racing, was presented to Donna Bader of West Bend and Bob Wondra, Lomira.
