Sheriff’s Report – Oct. 21
Authorities were able to identify the caller of a bomb threat that was called in and left as a voicemail at the Old Wisconsin business office Oct. 12. With cooperation from the phone company, AT&T, they were able to obtain the Sheboygan phone number the call originated from.
According to Detective Dave Obremski of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, a 16-year-old Sheboygan male made the call from a friend’s house. The boy cooperated with authorities and said that the phone number he called was a random number.
The bomb threat was reported to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department on Oct. 12 at 9:15 a.m. after an employee listened to the voicemail that was left over the weekend. The message stated that a bomb was going to be placed in the office Oct. 14 and that it would kill everyone inside. Employees were moved to a safe location while company authorities and law enforcement officials searched the building.
The boy was referred to social services.
