Sheriff’s Department reports house fire in town of Mitchell
At approximately 1:55 a.m. Oct. 26, the Sheboygan County Emergency Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a resident of the town of Mitchell indicating they could observe what they thought was a residence on fire north of theirs.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived in the area and confirmed a single-family residence with an attached garage was engulfed in fire. The residence at N3771 County A (W) belongs to Robert and Patricia Roffers and was unoccupied at the time. The cause as well as a damage estimate has yet to be determined. The Sheboygan County Fire Investigation Team was also requested by the Cascade Fire Department.
The Cascade Fire Department was assisted by fire units from Adell, Batavia, Beechwood, Elkhart Lake, Waldo, town of Plymouth, town of Greenbush, and the Cascade and Batavia First Responders.
