Falls runners complete season at Mayville Sectional Meet

MAYVILLE – The Sheboygan Falls Falcons cross country teams capped off the 2009 season at the WIAA Division 2 Sectional at Mayville Saturday, Oct. 24.
The Falcons’ girls team finished in 12th place and boys squad came in 15th overall. The Falcons didn’t qualify any individual runners for state competition.
Falcons sophomore Stephanie Kleckner came back to lead her team with a 21st-place finish, while junior Lucas LaCrosse was 24th.
The Kiel girls and boys teams won both sectional titles.
“Our team ran as well as they could,” said Falcons coach Tiffany Otte. “We ran against some tough competition.”
Other top finishers for the Falcons were sophomore Nicole Bartel (30th) and junior Chase Schultz (68th) overall.
