HG weight room
Howards Grove High School students are looking forward to the finishing touches in their new 2412 square foot weight room made possible in part by a $7500 donation from the Stone Foundation and National Exchange Bank & Trust.
National Exchange Bank & Trust asked for help from the Stone Foundation to fund this project which triples the area for weight training available to the students and make more efficient use of space easily accessible to the school’s physical education classes.
Chris Peterson, Howards Grove School District administrator, is excited to see the project come to fruition. “This gift from the Stone Foundation is a tremendous gift to our school and our community,” Peterson said.
National Exchange Bank & Trust Vice President Tim Stielow approached the Stone Foundation to request consideration of the gift. “We have a history of generous corporate citizenship. This was a great fit with our focus on providing opportunities for the youth in our community,” Stielow commented.
The project has raised $39,000 to date and benefited from donated time and materials from the contractors.
