Turkey knocks out power west of city

Plymouth Utilities reported a 15-minute power outage Thursday, Oct. 29, affecting about 500 customers west of Plymouth in the area north of State 67 including the Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution.

According to the utilities, an electrical outage occurred at 1:14 p.m. on a distribution circuit when its breaker tripped out at Substation No. 2. Electric crews responded and found that a turkey had flown into the lines along Hill and Dale Road. Power was restored by 1:29 p.m.
