EUNICE E. KOHLHAGEN
Eunice E. Kohlhagen, 89, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls where she had resided for the past six years.
Eunice was born Aug. 24, 1920 in Ripon, the daughter of the late Henry and Ida (Natz) Bremer. She was a 1937 graduate of Ripon High School and attended Sheboygan Business College.
On Nov. 30, 1940, she married Willard H. Kohlhagen at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls.
Eunice was employed as a clerk and secretary for the city of Sheboygan Falls for 10 years until her retirement in 1982. Previously, she worked as a bookkeeper for several other businesses.
Eunice was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls where she was active in the choir and was a Sunday school teacher.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, housekeeping, and traveling to Door County. Eunice enjoyed her bridge club that she was active in for over 50 years.
Survivors include her husband, Willard; three daughters, Barbara (George) Allmann of Florida, Joanne Bosley of Mequon and Kathy Choren (Wayne Richter) of Grafton; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Marjorie Damascus of Florida; and also nieces and nephews.
Eunice was also preceded in death by a grandson, John Harju; one brother, Harold Bremer; and four sisters, Mildred Weiss, Elaine Hartman, Alta Steidemann and Gladys Currie.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Nov. 2, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Tom Gudmundson officiating. Burial took place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
