Landmarking of three homes Saturday
The Plymouth Historical Society and the city of Plymouth will be landmarking three historic properties Saturday, Nov. 7.
The public is welcome to join in landmarking these historical properties. The landmarked properties, and the times, are:
Zerler House, 719 Eastern Ave., built in 1889 — current owner Richard Roesgen, 1 p.m.
The Kennedy House, 104 South St., built in 1892 — current owners Gary Semon and Jim Pippert, 1:30 p.m.T
he Huson House, 405 Collins St., built in 1870 — current owner Peg Stahlman, 2 p.m.
The history of the original homeowners and a history of the home will be shared at each site with an unveiling of the plaque.
At the conclusion of the ceremony attendees will have an opportunity to meet the homeowners before proceeding to the next site. At our last home, Peg Stahlman’s, light refreshments will be served.
As landmarking continues, the Historical Society intends to develop an audio tour for residents and visitors alike. This will offer a unique opportunity to share our history, to learn about past residents, and to visualize the rich architecture that is within our community.
