SJL plans Veterans Day service Sunday

Veterans Day has been observed every year at St. John Lutheran Church at the 10:30 a.m. service on the second Sunday of November every year since 2002.

This year, the service will take place Sunday, Nov. 8, at 10:30 a.m. The posting of the colors and rifle salute will be led by the American Legion Post 243 Color Guard and Firing Squad. The Hometown Harmony Tradition will provide special music. Steve Wimmer will be the guest speaker. Refreshments and a light luncheon will be served following the service to provide a time to visit with friends and guests.

St. John attempts to invite as many veterans from the Plymouth area as they can for this service, to show support and gratitude for those who have served or are currently serving in the military.
