Andersons celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
John and Karen Anderson of Plymouth celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, with a Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Plymouth. Dinner for family members was hosted by their children at Millhome Supper Club in Kiel.
The couple were married Nov. 7, 1959, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay.
John was born in Janesville. He retired after 30 years from Watry Industries in Sheboygan. He is currently an alderman for the city of Plymouth.
The former Karen Tess was born in Sturgeon Bay. She was employed by Sargento Foods in Plymouth for 33 years, retiring in 2005.
The couple have three children: Jeff Anderson of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, Patti Anderson of Kenosha and Amy (Mark) Albers of Plymouth. They also have three grandsons: Ben, Zach and Brady Albers.
