Sheriff’s Report – Nov. 11
Three vehicles were involved in an accident on Interstate 43, near the State 42 off-ramp, injuring five people Nov. 7 at 5:30 p.m.
According to the accident report, all three vehicles were traveling northbound on Interstate 43 when the leading car, driven by 32-year-old Joshua Sasche of Sheboygan, slowed down for a non-contact vehicle that was also traveling north. Behind Sasche was Jeffrey A. Kierzek, 26, of West Allis; Kierzek was reportedly looking at his radio and struck Sasche from behind. Kathy A. McCarthy, 49, of Fountain Hills, Ariz., swerved to miss the crash scene, but over-corrected and entered the ditch next to the off-ramp to State 42.
All three vehicles contained passengers and contained nine people altogether. Five were injured but only one, 81-year-old Lois D. Neubauer of St. Francis, was transported to Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for treatment. Neubauer was a passenger in Kierzek’s vehicle.
