HG’s Benning to play basketball at UW-Whitewater

Ali Benning, a senior at Howards Grove High school, has committed to UW-Whitewater to play women’s basketball next year following recruiting by the university.

Benning earned All-Central Lakeshore Conference second-team honors as a junior. She led the Tigers in rebounding and steals, and was second in scoring last season. Benning was voted her team’s outstanding defensive player.

She will major in accounting at UW-Whitewater.
